This class in Native American Flute is taught by Mary Youngblood, with assistance from Kathy McHugh. Also in attendance this day were two Recreational Therapists who are staff at Mule Creek.

One of the lessons this class day was how to make the flute “bark”—a technique requiring very fast and accurate fingering, timed just right with a short, explosive, highly controlled out-breath.

The class is part of Arts in Corrections (www.artsincorrections.org), which is funded by California's Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and administered by the California Arts Council.
