Here are some peer-led art classes held at Pelican Bay State Prison, facilitated by the Prison Arts Collective.

Experienced artists at the prison just completed the PAC Arts Facilitator Training with Mark Taylor, PAC teaching artist and alum, and Prof. James Woglom, PAC faculty director for Cal Poly Humboldt. This is the first day that the new facilitators led their peers in screenwriting, positive rap, origami, painting, and macrame. Visiting with me this day was Annie Buckley, founder and executive director of PAC.

This class is funded by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The class is part of Arts in Corrections (www.artsincorrections.org), which is funded by California's Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and administered by the California Arts Council.
