This collaborative, multi-media course was led by a collaborative team from Prison Arts Collective (PAC) and was funded by a Grant for Arts Projects that PAC founder Annie Buckley received from the National Endowment for the Arts. In this yearlong project, participants were guided to collaborate on creating and implementing an art piece as a group, in a relay-like process that included multiple workshops—each responding to the other—in the prison and on campus. The event pictured here was the culminating performance of the collaborative series and was led by PAC peer facilitators with support from PAC mentor Yvette Deas.
