Musicambia is a New York-based organization that develops music education programs inside prisons and jails throughout the United States. In this repeat visit to San Quentin State Prison, the amazing teaching artists from Musicambia and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music presented a song-writing workshop for the men insdie. After several days of creativity and refinement, the workshop culminated in a rollicking performance in the chapel. The photos here show the songs in development. This was a program of the William James Association (https://williamjamesassociation.org/).
